Alright, I started reading this yesterday and I couldn't put it down; I stayed up all night reading. It's incredible - the plot, the characters, their backgrounds, it's a solid 5 out of 5 stars.

I do have one minor wish, though (up to where I've reached in the translation). I wish Shi Jin would make more of an effort to mend his relationship with his brothers instead of giving up so easily. I think it was in Chapter 38, when they apologized, he didn't actively seek them out. His focus seems to be solely on the progress bars, and once he's certain they're not the culprits, he drops the issue. I really hope they can develop a stronger bond later on.

But let's talk about Lian Jun... Oh my goodness, how dense can Shi Jin be?!?!?

In terms of character development, this novel stands out among danmei literature. The main protagonists and supporting characters are incredibly well-rounded, displaying their vulnerabilities, backstories, and the evolution they undergo, along with the gamut of emotions that come with personal growth. What truly shines is the healthy and almost surreal dynamic between Shi Jin and Lian Jun.
