Later, Abhishek left for the base back to his regiment. Dev and Bhumi decided to continue their journey without informing their parents about the accident. They checked into a nearby hotel for the night, and decided to travel the next day. Bhumi was glum and had little interest in her surroundings, she had no preference for the hotel, the room, the food etc. The only thing Bhumi appeared to be concerned about Ashi and Ashi's needs. The hotel was nice, and while Ashi played around discovering everything around her, Bhumi simply set back and silently watcher her go about. After dinner, Bhumi and Ashi returned to the room. It was a suite, with a king-sized bed, a sofa-cum-bed and a special cot for Ashi. While Dev had gone to the reception to make travel arrangements for the next day, Bhumi went back to the room and put Ashi in the cot. Bhumi herself selected the sofa-cum-bed to sleep on.
