Firstly, I would like to thank the translator for their time and hard work. Thanks to them, I had the opportunity to read this excellent novel. As for the review, if you are a reader who enjoys Xianxia romance, this is definitely a must-read! I have completed up to chapter 12 of the translation, and it has not disappointed. It provides the same satisfying, heart-warming, and heart-touching experience as the novels *The Mighty One Born of the Heavens*, *Eternal Love of Destiny*, *AOL*, and *The Journey of the Four*. One of the best Xianxia romances out there! ❤️❤️

I can't express how much I love it; this storyline is incredibly emotional, and the characters are superbly developed. I devoured the entire book in just two days and couldn't put it down until I finished. If you enjoy emotional rollercoasters with heart-wrenching love stories, you should definitely give it a try.

The main character just frustrates me. She’s weak—and she knows this—yet she causes trouble wherever she goes.

I’ve read up to the part where she needs the three treasures that support the Human Realm, Heavenly Realm, and Demon Realm to revive Bo Xuan. She knows she’s not strong and that there’s no way for her to accomplish this, yet she’s planning to get them. Doesn’t she realize that it will end up with Feng Ran, Qing Mu, and her father having to support her?

I just don’t understand how someone can be so ignorant and not think things through. She only realizes the consequences when someone close to her gets hurt. At that point, she laments about how powerless she is.

Maybe there will be some character development in the future, but right now, I don’t think it’s worth the effort of translating it.

I fell in love with the drama but wasn't satisfied with the ending, and I kept cursing the deep love of Bai Jue, the male lead (ML), who had profound feelings for the female lead (FL) but hid them and sacrificed too much. Then I read the novel, and boom—the love the ML had for the FL was even deeper in the novel, but the FL really frustrated me. Instead of feeling satisfied, I felt even more angsty.

Though I understand they were ancient gods, ignoring their love after discovering it and only regretting it when it was too late made me even more frustrated. I liked how the drama twisted the personalities of both main characters (MCs); the FL wasn't as ignorant as in the novel. While I think it's a good novel for those who appreciate the ML's deep, selfless love, it didn't satisfy me because I had already watched the drama and hoped the novel would be more complete. If I had found the novel first, I might have gotten frustrated and stopped reading.

However, despite the story having some holes, the basic plot has a solid foundation. The ending led me to prefer the series' conclusion, though it wasn't that different. You can try reading it, but don't get too frustrated with the FL's character and the ML's hidden love and extreme sacrifices. I wonder why people can't write a more balanced novel. Still, you can give it a try.

I would love to thank the author for writing such a beautiful masterpiece. I found out about this novel through its drama adaptation, *Ancient Love Poetry*, and I immediately fell in love with it. It's hard to find a good xianxia romance that I like (there are currently only three, and this is my favorite), so I really, really, really, really, really recommend this.

There are no plot holes. Things are elaborated clearly. The story is very well written. The number of chapters doesn't exceed 100, so I finished it in two days.

I searched for the raws and translated it using Google Translate (because I hate reading Chinese; I can't speed read), so I don't quite understand the technical terms of the world. However, from what I can tell from the raws, the world-building is magnificent (I'd give it a 6-star out of 5 if I could).

Though, one thing I should warn you is that this novel is **very** angsty. Emphasize on **very**. From the start, it wasn't all that angsty, but I could tell that the later parts would be sad. And gods, did I predict it correctly.

**Spoiler**
It all went **angst** when Houchi (Shenggu) tried to resurrect Bai Xiao? (I forgot his name, so I think this is his name?)

Yes, and the character I love the most is Bai Jue. I cried reading his part and the amount he sacrificed and did just for Shenggu is impossible for anyone to do. It brought me to tears. He's 100% angst, so look out for him.

However, I really love the side characters too. Though I'd like to know more about their backgrounds (I'd love to read their side stories if they existed), I thought they were elaborated really well and had enough depth and personality to allow me to love them as not just **some side character**, but an **actual character** who is not meant to only support the MCs.

If I could, I'd rate this novel 10 stars, but unfortunately, the limit is five. Yes, for people who love angst, this is for you. Personally, I love angst, so this is my cup of tea. For those who don't like angst, try reading this to get out of your comfort zone. I swear to God, this is the first novel out of hundreds that could have made me cry a river (I don't get emotional much). Given that I used Google Translate to read this, and I cried—so much—this can say a lot about it. It has totally exceeded my original expectations.

Anyway, have a great read ❤️❤️❤️

P.S. Please write a review here if you can once you've read this novel... There are only 2 here, including mine.

Thank you very much for the ongoing work on translating the novel. I noticed the translation is still progressing quickly, even as the drama is set to conclude in about a week. Regardless, I deeply appreciate your efforts.

I am particularly fond of the character Shang Gu. She remains pure, sincere, strong, and brave, and I hope she retains her awareness until the end (only four episodes left to go). I sincerely hope for a happy ending, at least for Shang Gu and her son Yuan Qi. While I don't hold out hope for a reunion with Bai Jue, as he has become a very bad character in his third life.

Initially, I liked Bai Jue's character, despite his foolishness and frequent mistakes, as he eventually redeemed himself. His second life as Qing Mu was the best portrayal of him as a romantic lead, which I believed was the result of his redemption. However, in his third life as Bai Jue, he turned extremely evil. His foolishness in this life was even worse than in his first, leading him to commit all sorts of atrocities—betrayal, hypocrisy, lies, collusion, injustice, and unnecessary killings. His persistent foolishness ultimately led to his downfall as a form of karmic retribution. I'm still waiting to see what his fourth life will bring.

The plot is very engaging, and I am truly grateful to the author for creating such a strong, brave, sincere, and caring character in Shang Gu. She is super awesome.

The book is fantastic, with more detail and definitely adds to the drama (ancient love poetry). I would recommend this to readers who enjoy Xianxia. I read 20 chapters in 4 days and am looking forward to more chapters.

Also, thank you, blizzardahm, for the translations. <3

I found out about this masterpiece through the drama adaptation. As expected, the novel far surpasses the drama; I could overlook many of the 'small' changes or additions they made to heighten the drama, but it’s disappointing that they altered Shanggu's and Bai Jue's personalities so significantly.

Slight spoiler! In the novel, Shanggu is a powerful and arrogant goddess, a stark contrast to the weeping chief god in the drama. This makes perfect sense, given her role as the ruler over all realms. Meanwhile, Bai Jue is more decisive and cold-hearted. Only in the novel can you truly grasp and appreciate what it means for them to be 'true gods.' Go read it right now!!!

There are no words to express how deeply touching this story is. I want to thank the author for creating such a soulful, amazing, and unique love story. Even if it's a fantasy, I am utterly in love with this story. Best of luck to the author. From Sri Lanka.
