Really good novel from Mao Ni. The main characters are really likeable and the even the antagonists are likeable and understandable. However the story is a little slow paced at the start as it focuses more on world building and character development. The story becomes really amazing later on and the language used in the story is fantastic.

Yup, this is great. Need more chapters. MC seemed to have its own qualities and 3vem though it's a little farfetched I still like it. Continue the good work author.

The book is pretty good, the grammar and general use of English could be improved but overall, the book is a nice read. Firstly the MC is intelligent, he uses his advantages properly and knows when to avoid unfavorable situations. The MC isn’t a pervert which is very refreshing, the female characters are also not unreasonably in love with him nor do they drop their pants in heat as many perverted authors like to write. The flow of the story itself is well grounded and based on logic, apart from the necessary plot points where MC is given certain powers for free for the sake of the plot. The MC himself is an individual who follows the eye for an eye rule, he also does so logically and not the “you disrespected me so i will murder eighteen generations of your family” way. This is a nice break from the usual cliche in most novels of this genre. The EQ of the MC is not low although the MC ignores incidents where female characters show interest in him. I am not certain if this novel will have a love interest but I am enjoying it nonetheless. The character emotions of the MC are also fairly fleshed out, showing a dynamic range of reactions and emotions. The MC does not forget his past life and ‘become’ the new person, instead he remains as himself but hides his past life from others which is nice because I dislike when an MC forgets their old life to embrace the new, in reality no one could just ignore their old lives like that and most people would be apprehensive about abandoning their persona like that. If they can abandon it so easily then they are a shallow person. The side-characters are also not NPCs, they show emotions and contemplation as well as self reflection and self improvement. When faced with a challenging situation some of them change and decide to become better, others cower in fear and properly give up on making trouble. This is a wonderful development process because it is far more true to life, unlike how in other novels the side-characters hold onto grudges even till death, even grudges borne from small matters. The world development is fairly good, no real information has been provided about where exactly the MC is in the world, it mostly information about the close proximity of the MC. I.e the author has indeed described the community the MC lives in but hasn’t talked about countries or continents or anything like that. This is actually not a bad situation and you don’t particularly notice it.Overall, the book is well worth your time. A majority of individuals who read it will enjoy the it.

The fighting scenes in the story are thrilling and vividly detailed. Each battle is choreographed with precision, showcasing the unique abilities and strategies of the characters. The tension is palpable as heroes face formidable foes, like the massive troll. Descriptions of techniques, such as Kintaro's lightning-infused sword and Amanda's QI-powered punches, add depth. The fights are not only action-packed but also reveal character strengths and teamwork, making them integral to the story's excitement and progression.

I really, really like this novel and think it has incredible potential but it also has a pretty glaring problem that's seriously hurting it for many people. One of its biggest flaws is that something that could be easily and succinctly done in 2 chapters is more often than not stretched out to encompass at least 5 or more chapters by the author using filler, for seemingly no reason but to artificially slow things down. Combine that with the extreme over explanations of things that either don't need to be explicitly explained for one reason or another for the audience to naturally understand it, or are about things that feel misplaced and aren't relevant to that moment, the short term plot, near future or even overall story for a long time to come but is explained in excruciating detail anyway right then and there, putting the whole plot and story on hold until the info dump is over, many times happening several times a chapter and often repeating the same exact info just one or two chapters later without changing anything about it, just a complete copy/paste from before. Further add on the seemingly endless (and mostly off topic) tangents he goes into before, during and after he does anything at all, but especially especially so for fights, meaning he'll need several chapters to kill a low level mob (like a slime) because he's spends so much time on random superfluous tangents that 90% of the buildup and aftermath is just the MC yapping about nothing and repeating the same thoughts and reflections he's already had many times so far, without actually learning from these reflections and needing to go through the same thought processes over again to relearn the conclusion you already came to multiple times before, repeating the steps every 10 chapters or so. Plus the stats and descriptions of things are very often repeated multiple chapters in a row without changing anything, leading to between 30%-40% of a chapter can relatively often be nothing but the same info said in the previous chapter(s), and with the size of each chapter it only feels that much shorter with all the filler and repeats. It kinda feels like if you were to reedit the novel and it's chapters, you could probably remove around 40% of the words and reader would still have the same amount of info and knowledge of the world, the plot and the MC as you would get reading the original novel, only with less filler and faster/(debatably)better pacingDon't get me wrong though because i truly do like this and i know this makes it sound really bad but i do strongly believe others should give it a chance and try it for themselves, i just want it to improve, get better and eventually become one of the all time goats of a story (like "the second coming of gluttony" for example) like it so clearly has the potential to be if its a bit more edited and trimmed down.
