I have absolutely nothing but garbage experience with Japanese novels, for the most part. Anyone reading this know if it's any different?

Examples: A harem magically forms around the main character, he's absolutely dogshit useless but for some reason is worshipped, powers seeming pop out of thin air for the main character.

racism? nationalism? and last but not least, arrogant characters?
Seems like a line up destined for failure

well I was loving this book until updates stopped
