I am 60 chapters in and there are 2 straight characters.
I am not homophobic at all but this is too much. Mafia bosses main enemy is gay and instead of fighting he kisses his enemy. Things like that feel awkward and out of place. It does nothing positive for the story and feels disingenuous.

Updating my review because I'm really not enjoying where the novel is going in the latest chapters.

Ahhh I really really really love this novel!!!! This is such a frigging sad novel, the little boy never catch a break! The original translation use 'Death Sutra' as the title, I think that's more compelling.Everybody please read this novel. There is not an ounce of wish fulfilling fantasy, and the author bully and bully and bully our poor mc relentlessly. So all of us need to support him!

This novel disappointed me greatly. I have no patience for making people waste their time. Although the story starts off interesting and managed to compel me to reach the end, when I was done I was not happy, i merely wanted the time I wasted reading this back.To me the MC is NOT the protagonist of the book. The protagonist shows up twice and is from a different series. In the end the MC isn't even that useful for the final enemy.So many ideas were brought up, the Saint energy, the MC's child being strong. Yet none of that is all that relevant at the end.My heartfelt opinion is that no one should invest their time into reading this book.

Ok, so I read up to chapter three before I found a major plothole and dropped the book. The details are in chapter 3 paragraph 15 where I left a lengthy paragraph comment regarding the plothole. It's a shame because the translation was quite good. Not near perfect or anything but still quite good. But I think that the lack of common sense overpowers the good translation and world setting. But if the author can improve on that then the novels in the future might actually be quite good. BTW, author, don't try to save this novel. I said future novels for a reason. This is beyond saving.
