Death itself was a God, a dark deity believed to be the source of all misfortunes. Seeking vengeance from its counterpart, the revered Goddess Life, Death's wrath was ignited by a forbidden kiss shared between them thousands of years ago. The price of that kiss was paid dearly by their cherished creation—mankind.
From their slumber emerged sea monsters, abyssal horrors, and other abominations, intent on devouring and destroying everything created by Life and Death. While Life remained enthroned, absorbed in the adoration of her creations, Death roamed the earth battling these monstrosities. He answered prayers whispered in secret, growing his powers to ultimately destroy Life and reclaim what had been taken from him.
What he did not anticipate was encountering a human who piqued his interest, bearing the same face as his nemesis.
