Deeper Darker - Reviews

Ok, I finished reading this in raws and the story gets really bad in the second half. It has around 350 chapters and the first 150 are pretty good and seem to be gearing up to become a 1000 chapter novel, but after 200 you start to notice problems. There's a lot of nationalism involved and it was hard to sit through even though I'm used to it at this point. Then after 250, the pacing starts getting really bad and entire plot points set up before are discarded or brushed through casually. Important characters forgotten, author rushes to end the story in one of the worst endings I've seen and I say this having read all kinds of bad endings over the years.I can see why this is pretty popular right now because the first half is decent, but the latter half was terrible.

Author shamelessly promoting and reviewing own novel, giving myself 5*. It constitutes a promise to myself, and readers, that I will update regularly, and not drop the novel. Characters will grow and world isn't that unique as is based on current Earth. To some extent. Names have been changed, of course to give that ethereal feel. ?There will be elements of romance (a huge part), revenge (another aspect) but mostly, it will deal with the MC growing up and life experiences. "The Netherworld King's long grey hair fluttered despite the lack of wind"I really don't understand why the author must write this line in prologue chapter. from my understanding, this netherworld king is a skeleton figure. so, where are those hairs attached in his head? did they grow in the bone skull? Did hair suppose to grow and attached in the scalp?

Possibly the best original books on this site in my opinion, it has a very interesting premise and good execution, however there are some parts that could be made better, for me the format of quotes are sometimes hard to read. The content is enjoyable but sometimes a bit weird, mc returns from fantasy world, sure. But how the hell did the original world gets copy of the fantasy world, while it may not be an exact copy it is on a thin line. I may have possibly read wrong on that tho. Also there seems to be a bit too many beauties already, I think it was 4 by now, to be honest it is a very common trope in novels and I thought this novel would go a bit differently but not so far so ~~ eh. That’s about all I could find wrong with it, wait I would think that this story requires some planing so it would take longer to write with it’s weird/different plot, it already shows. Yeah that’s about all, if your looking for a fresh breath into the vrmmorpg genre this is possibly the best choice in this platform.

I really like this book. The characters are fleshed out and the world building has gene steadily implemented. The elders of the sect are actually caring and not scheming old farts. It feels like a family  instead of  the usual.

So first of beware that this novel isn't too serious a novel. So if that is what you're looking for I would reccomend you to look for something else.  Now that we are past that the writing is of good quality besides a few typos here and there I can't seem to find much errors in it. The mc's character isn't all too deep, but I feel the author is trying his best and besides it is hard to make a deep and relatable mc in novels like this. World seems interesting with stones that allow for people to reincarnate and how the tribulations are decided be a bunch of scummy immortals. Updates are pretty stable and good in amount, the only time there where no updates was when the author was moving out so props for that. Yeah I guess that's about it all in all its worth a shot.

Good reverend insanity fanfic. Only one problem though.Mc is not manipulative enough and does not persue/manipulate(female) relationships. He aint a saint.

Hi there,Here I'm back with my shameless review for my own work.This novel is my second creation, I would say.So it should be better that my previous one.As usual I will still be making a Sci-Fi vs Fantasy setting.Kingdom Building will be happening later on.I know that the prologue might be a bit info dump but it was needed later on.Of course, I will still try to improve more than ever before.
