A film about dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities). The story centers on a writer who suffered sexual abuse from his mother as a child and split into a female second personality at seventeen to share his pain. The second personality helped him become famous with his first novel but went dormant during the second. He obsessed over waking her back up, wrote a million-word novel in his last seven days without sleeping or eating, and died in his study. The film has no romance and requires the lead actor to cross-dress as the female personality.
