A suspicious man in a faded military uniform attempts to lure children with candy near the abandoned warehouses in the military compound. Jiaojiao recognizes the danger, leads the children to safety, and tracks the man who later sneaks into a warehouse with burlap sacks, changes into a blue work uniform, and heads toward the back mountain. Political Commissar Zhang is alerted and orders a lockdown of the compound.
