A mournful tune by Qu Yuan played on the xun. Jiang Niao used to sing this by the Si River every spring to call back spirits of fallen soldiers. Jiang Nong played it by the riverbank to gain the Empress Dowager's favor and compassion, successfully moving her to tears and securing the blood ginseng.
