A large pond being dug in the low-lying Xiwa area by about ten villagers including Sun Zheng, Wang Li, Liu Wang, Gao Lei, Qian Xiaoshan, Zhao Dagen, Wu Tiezhu, Liu Sheng, and Zheng Laishun. Planned as east-west oriented with channels to be dug from the mountain. By dusk they barely finished the top layer of soil.
