Colorful apples sold by a little girl outside Star-Picking Pavilion on Christmas Eve. They come in different price tiers—fifteen, thirty, and fifty—with increasingly elaborate packaging. Tao Wanxing buys all of them out of pity for the selling girl, who needs the money for her grandmother's medicine.
