Tools used in the fitter entrance assessment. Applicants must strike a cold chisel with a specially made iron hammer to break a standard-sized steel rod within a limited number of blows. Breaking it in 5 strikes is Excellent, 8 strikes is Good, 12 strikes is Pass, and failure to break it after 12 strikes results in failure.
