Luo Qingwu distilled approximately 75% concentration alcohol using a makeshift distillation apparatus. She intended to use it to disinfect Xiao Junhe's wound as revenge, believing it would make his soul leave his body. She later actually used it mixed with warm water to wipe his body to reduce his fever, knowing alcohol evaporates and absorbs heat.
