The legal code of the Great Chu Empire. Chi Qiao decided she must obtain a copy to study it, as she was unfamiliar with its laws. It contains provisions about scholarly honors, punishment for striking a scholar (twenty lashes), and forced marriage for divorced women who remain unmarried by twenty.
