A mystical bond formed between Bai Jinshu and Zongzheng Ling when their breaths mingled in the cave. The bond is described as life and death entwined, prosper together suffer together. After forming the bond, Bai Jinshu's wounds were healed and her body was cleaned while she slept in the bamboo hut.
