A top-tier mount option in the game. When defeated, there is a 50% chance it drops a rideable ostrich with a saddle as a holographic image with a light orb. Desert ostriches are highly protective of each other and will retaliate if one is attacked. They require a dedicated stable, regular feeding, and proper care. They cannot be stored in inventory and must be led.
