Hong Mingliang publicly confronted Li Xue, grabbed her by the collar, and threatened to slap her. Li Gong intervened and stopped Hong Mingliang. Hong Mingliang warned Wu Jun not to be seen with Li Xue again. This confrontation disrupted the original plot where Wu Jun was supposed to silently accept a tricked marriage.
