An egg boiled in stew broth from a restaurant's big pot. Xiaohu's father worked as a cook and occasionally sneaked food home. During the famine, eggs were extremely valuable, selling for ten copper coins each in town. Zhuo Ling stole this egg from Xiaohu by distracting him.
