A personal item that became central to the conflict between Su Chi and Xie Yushu. Xie Yushu originally gave it to Su Chi to wipe his tears. He washed it carefully and kept it under his pillow, clutching it tightly at night. He later returned it to her with stern words about not giving such personal items to men casually and treasuring gifts from men. Su Chi suspected it may have originally been a gift from Meng Dongxue that Xie Yushu had passed along.
