Also referred to as Madam Zhao, she is a beautiful middle-aged widow who married Old Qian. She brought three children with her into the marriage, including Zhao Qianqian. She was forced to sign a contract giving up all rights to the Qian family property. Despite this, she is known across nearby villages as an excellent stepmother who treated her stepchildren well and never fought for a house or property. She is described as weak, love-brained, and easily bullied. Her children call Old Qian 'Uncle' while Old Qian's children call her 'Mom.'
