A young man in Baoshan Cun whom both Bai Banxia's predecessor and Wang Taohua admired. Two days before the story begins, he cut the back of his hand while doing farm work, and Bai Banxia gave him a handkerchief to bind the wound. Wang Taohua used this incident to spread rumors about Bai Banxia.
