Yu Lingxin
Male protagonist/antagonist. Emperor of Tan Kingdom. Was a hostage prince sent from Tan, bullied and despised since birth due to his heterochromatic eyes (one black, one violet) and congenitally poor vision. Considered ill-omened after a century snow disaster at his birth. Quiet and withdrawn, never begged for mercy despite constant torment. Ascended the throne five years later, became a warlike and tyrannical ruler. Marched against Dang, killed Chao Ning, imprisoned Jiang Nong in Yuluan Palace, and destroyed her homeland. At 16 in the past timeline, he is pushed into the lotus pond and appears to drown by Jiang Nong.
