Bei Qinghuan's mother. Her health is poor and one of her arms is in a splint held in a sling. She works at Factory 3508 doing trivial light work for a low wage as a semi-able worker. Her husband (Bei Qinghuan's father) was formerly the factory director of Factory 3508 and had recommended Qin Dagang and his wife for jobs there nine years ago before passing away from illness. She is currently saving for her daughters' marriages and feels indignant about the Qin family's snobbish behavior.
