Also known as Chu Yan, the young master of the Chu household. He is the orphan of Chu Jin's trusted subordinate whose father died protecting his master. Chu Jin took him in as his adopted son. He is delicate, initially refused cow's or goat's milk, and cried hungrily all day. He gained weight and became content under Luo Ran's care as a wet nurse.
