He randomly selected 300,000 people and marked them for cancer or car accidents to quickly process deaths. He was frustrated about constantly being picked on. He initially wanted to keep Shen Fuxing in the underworld for study due to her unusual nature as a neither-human-nor-ghost creature, but was outmaneuvered by Taibai Jinxing who took her instead. He was described as having an impatient nature and aversion to lengthy procedures.
