Jiang Lingyuan's grandfather. His name was Shen Ci, and he often said that it was only because of his wife (Lady Wen Ci) that his heart had grown warm again. He passed away, and his third death anniversary inspired Lady Wen Ci to compose Moon over Xiling. He died six years ago plus two years before that, meaning he passed away eight years ago.
