She was the stumbling block in the romance between the male and female leads. Desperate for the love of the male lead Fu Chen and repeatedly rejected, she resorted to drugging him. In the original novel, she administered enough drugs for five or six people in one go due to her inexperience. She was eventually blacklisted, disfigured by sulfuric acid, and jumped to her death.
