A male minor character, Qin Xiao's younger brother, currently 19 years old. He passed the county-level qualifying exam at age 13 but has failed the Xiucai examination repeatedly ever since. He is favored by their parents, who sent him to an academy and gave him a bedroom, study, and a room for his future children, while Qin Xiao was given nothing. Qin Xiao suspects he is not cut out for studying.
