Qin Su's thesis advisor and head of the French Department. She is serious and rigid but highly competent professionally. She was initially stern toward Qin Su but became kinder after learning Qin Su was not involved in supernatural matters. Her mother used to be extremely superstitious, drank talisman water, and sought Taoist priests and Buddhist monks instead of going to the hospital, which resulted in losing both money and her life. This experience made her hate metaphysical arts. She continuously assigns difficult materials to Qin Su because Qin Su reads them faster than expected.
