The old marshal, grandfather of Lu Beichen and father of Lu Shijia. He is a battle-hardened veteran who trusts his grandson Lu Beichen. He suffers from health issues including blocked meridians and throat itching, which are alleviated by Xu Nianchu's medicine. He initially suspects Lu Beichen's explanation but ultimately believes him. He is concerned about his son's marriage and the family's reputation.
