The protagonist, a six-year-old girl and the oldest of three siblings. After her family was cast out by her stepmother Qian Sancao and father Lin Dahe, she takes on the responsibility of caring for her two younger sisters and injured parents. She discovers she can travel to parallel places through patterns on her palms left by a shattered jade pendant. She is brave, resourceful, and deeply caring toward her family.
