Mianmian's mother, a 38-year-old single parent who works two jobs to support her family and pay for Mianmian's education. She looks older than her actual age due to hard work. She is weary but never complains. She has to return to her hometown to care for Mianmian's sick grandmother, so she arranges for Mianmian to stay at Teacher Zhao's house until the high school entrance exams are over.
