GODOFEND
I'm hooked to this story. right from the first chapter ... Good work Author! uckily it's been completed. let's dive into this.
OMG i love all your book author especially the taglish. Keep up the good work.
So the first 20/30 chapters are massively inconsistent. Then, it’s so repetitive that you’re more irritated that you’re paying so much for that many errors and mistakes. You can get past most of that because you see it on here enough and it’s a great story. But it stops just as it’s getting good.
I'll rate this a solid 10/10. Beautiful read and fast paced too
I'm giving it a 5-star rating because I'm biased, as usual. I've found the novel very enjoyable so far. Although I admit to speed-reading through some of the arcs involving horror games, most of them manage to grab my attention again. The different characters they interact with add to the entertainment.
The main character (MC) is very admirable and lovable. I appreciate his straightforward personality and various life skills. While he's not omnipotent—he often relies on Luo or game items to get out of trouble—he is resourceful and has a good sense of danger, making him a sensible protagonist, especially in a horror setting.
Luo, the male lead (ML), is a butler-type character. His backstory hasn't been fully revealed yet, but there are hints scattered throughout. He's not omnipotent either and has his own weaknesses, but he remains helpful to the best of his abilities. The fact that he can transform into a cat is a significant plus in my (and the MC's) eyes.
The relationship between the MC and ML is slow but progresses gently and smoothly. Honestly, this is the aspect I enjoy the most in the novel. It seems that Luo is patiently waiting for Xiao Lan to depend on him, without being pushy or aggressive at all.
This novel started off promising for me, but unfortunately, it began to decline after a few chapters. There were numerous inconsistencies and unexplained plot points, such as:
1. The accidental death of ML's second wife – it's unclear if it was truly unintentional.
2. The conflicting information about the first wife – initially reported missing, later claimed deceased.
3. FL's past life as a transmigrated character remained unexplored.
4. The context of FL discussing ML as a villain in another novel was never clarified.
5. The pregnancy issue was confusing – how FL conceived while ML was in ghost form wasn't explained.
6. During a car accident, FL was unaware she was pregnant; it's unclear why the baby didn't miscarry during that risky time, and the hospital staff's knowledge of her pregnancy is also unclear.
7. Misunderstandings, like the "Kill and throw into the ocean" incident, weren't resolved satisfactorily.
8. The ending felt rushed, leaving many questions unanswered.
These unresolved elements significantly impacted my enjoyment of the book.
You are being way too negative. So what if they get back together? Would that really be so awful? They worked well together
Its pretty good. Not groundbreaking or anything but pacing is actually decent and although the mc feels strong its not like he's unrivalled or anything.
It's not fully translated. I read mtl version in fortune eternal
Can anyone tell if chapters will get updated? Or if it is dropped? Don't want to get into a novel where there will be no future chapters
Bro is the type of guy to pinch his nose before he gets in the water.
It's a decent novel although I did rage a bit at times, that's a common thing for me. The characters are quite enjoyable, In fact, I enjoy some of the side characters more than the MC by a wide margin. The world-building is well done as well. One of my biggest critiques is the power system. A character could be out of mana and then be like “oh lets use a potion” and the effects are instant, anticlimactic asl.
Now let's talk about my worst part of the novel, that being the last arc. It was complete *ss. All the characters other than the MC become useless which defeats the entire point of the timeskip. It has hands down some of the worst writing I read and that says a lot since I read a lot of brainrot novels. It’s dragged on for far to long and tbh it was the most disappointing sh*t ever. The last arc ruined the overall story for me but thankfully the last couple of chapters saved it. The end was done beautifully. I’ll give it a 7/10.
