This novel is an incredibly engaging blend of culinary arts, mystery-solving, and historical intrigue, a unique combination that I haven't encountered before. The protagonist starts as the descendant of a criminal turned royal maid, who tragically passed away in the palace. In a twist of fate, a modern woman takes over her body and embarks on a journey to survive within palace walls. Upon her escape, she finds herself at the prestigious Dali Temple - an ancient Chinese law enforcement agency.
Her role becomes to cater to the胃口 of government officials, all while navigating through various cases and life-threatening situations. What sets this apart is that she doesn't actively pursue investigations; her main focus remains on her culinary career. The temple officials are the ones driving the case-solving, but her exceptional skills inevitably draw her into their affairs, often as an unexpected ally.
As you read, you'll find yourself craving not only the mouth-watering dishes described but also the unfolding plot. Alas, the story is still ongoing. I commend the translator and hope they continue translating until its conclusion.
So then, by your logic, harems and rapey MCs are fine, but once we enter the same gender love category, it's unreadable? xD
Even though I love this book, I can't carry on with the flow anymore, there are too many skips or unclear parts!
What the living f*ck are you on? Some authors intentionally leave descriptions of characters blank so you can imagine them yourself. Also, use your head. They are at a school, picture a school and not some void. It barely affects anything…
The gender mistakes are so light compared to an actual bad translation, which change names and locations. It is a minor inconvenience…
I thought the same thing lol
All I can think is ‘what?’
I seriously don’t get Korean women.
tries to be overly deep to the point the story itself is lost
Thanks for the info
It's a harem ur welcome
Wish main character was not so narrow minded on revenge, she is totally selfish and has no warmth.
I feel like the book is dragging a little bit now. Too many affirmations and routines and nothing really happening. If it's meant to be a short book, let it be a short i interesting book worth reading, don't drag please ...
A great story, so sad how often one travels life based on misinformation, and doesn’t recognize the truth staring them in their face!
