Good book. Theo sounds really hot. I could definitely be with a guy like Theo.
Very interesting and exciting I am always expecting a new chapter it is quite good
well new book! but it's common story of all novels
There are three symbols in this chapter that I can't stop thinking about, and they're all connected to the question of what it means to surrender. First: the chains. Xie Xixiao is physically chained to Hu Shen, but he's also chained to his own honor, his own past, his own inability to accept that the world has changed. When Hu Shen unfastens the chain herself and stores the handkerchief, she's performing an act of care that has no words. The chain comes off, but a new one forms—the one between them that neither can name. Second: the handkerchief. A handkerchief is something you wipe away. Something temporary. Something disposable. Xie Xixiao treats it as disposable; Hu Shen treats it as precious. This is the entire story in miniature—he sees things as tools to be used and discarded, she sees them as objects of care. The blood on it is Yelu Jian's, a man who represents the old world of loyalty and retribution. She washes it not to erase the past but to preserve something that mattered. Third: the food. Xie Xixiao doesn't touch the food at the feast because he misses chopsticks. This is such a small detail but it carries so much weight. He's not just missing utensils—he's missing civilization, identity, the rituals that make a man who he was before capture. Eating with his hands is another form of surrender, another daily reminder that he no longer belongs to the world he came from. The author's note about Zhu Qizhen, Su Wu, and Yue Fei's wives is basically the author's thesis statement: history loves to sanitize captivity, to turn trauma into poetry, to make men who slept with their captors into loyal husbands writing verses to wives they abandoned. This story is pushing back against that sanitization. It's saying: what if we're honest about what happens? What if the love is real even if the circumstances aren't? What if surrender isn't cowardice but survival, and survival isn't clean? That's the theme. Not love conquers all. Love survives despite everything. There's a difference.
As a fellow author, it's good to see someone trying to make a story about Three Kingdoms as well. I know that it can be tricky on some parts, but it is fun to write. BTW, I added a Three Kingdoms tag for you.
Never! Never! Never! Never! Never!

He rolled his eyes and pulled her down into his lap. "Hows that for your answer." he smiled.

"Issei..." Issei turns to look at Gohan, "Asia said you had a nightmare last night, everything okay?"
