Heard there are new chapters but dunno still loved dis
3 majors arc on 5 are finished, idk how many time and when the 4th major arc is gonna end, but i bet on something like the end of this year. And even after the end of the 5th major arc, this is the kind of story where you can still write on cause the world building is well developped, the author can still write another story in the same world, i mean, there is no reason for him to stop writing before he die, it's like tolkien and all, his world have many potential for may stories, we'll see and sorry for my bad english
I read a bit. Overall.. fun read. Sad about all that romance not going anywhere concrete.
That sounds sadder than my life
I found this really good and fun only problem is that it could of gone on for much longer and felt so rushed
There seems to be an inconsistency or flaw in this book, whether it's the translation or the narrative itself. While it initially presents intriguing concepts, the overall reading experience is confusing, causing the reader to question whether their understanding is faltering or if the book falls short in clarity.
The concept intrigued me, but I found myself losing interest several times and only persevered to reach the end. It's not necessarily a bad book; perhaps my expectations misled me. I'll give it another chance once more content is available, despite the decent machine translation (the author's straightforward writing style with minimal metaphors makes it tolerable).
Characters:
- Zong Jiu (Protagonist): A magician with a Dr. Strange-like backstory, whose hands were damaged, halting his magical abilities. As a transmigrator, he enters the Thriller Trainee competition with an opportunity to turn his luck around.
Spoilers ahead:
Zong Jiu is an apathetic character, displaying limited emotions throughout the story. Though he knows some details about the competition, his knowledge is limited since he didn't finish the first case.
Supporting Characters:
- No. 1 (Main Love Interest, ML): Known as the Devil, he has a devil-may-care attitude and remains mysterious early on. Initially absent, he plays a significant role in the first instance.
- Zhuge-An, Xu Sen, Xu Su, Von Zuo, and No. 10 (S-Rankers): Various side characters are scattered throughout the story, with Zhuge-An (No. 3 S-Rank) appearing omnipotent, Xu Sen and Xu Su as new, involuntary trainees loyal to Zong Jiu, Von Zuo (No. 2 S-Rank) as a vampire with a complex connection, and No. 10 (with a confusing name) known for his unlucky fate.
Romance:
While the novel isn't romance-focused, the engaging dynamic between the protagonist and the ML follows an enemies-to-lovers storyline, as their rivalry evolves into something deeper.
Setting:
Zong Jiu participates in the Thriller Trainee competition alongside numerous newcomers. After the first task, surviving participants are thrown into instances, where they must complete tasks to progress. Failure leads to punishment or elimination, while success earns survival points and rank advancement.
Plot:
The protagonist, an indifferent character, faces off against the daring ML, destined to be rivals. Their mutual enmity, despite their opposing natures, feels intentional and compelling.
Rating:
My current rating is around 3.5 to 4 out of 5. I'll reassess after reading further. My decision to stop may have been influenced by the previous favorite novel. However, I encourage those interested in the relationship dynamics and premise to give it a try.
The novel, "I Am Really Not The Son of Providence," captivated me with its profound exploration of identity and the human quest for belonging. The protagonist's journey was both relatable and thought-provoking, as he grapples with societal expectations and the search for self-discovery. The narrative was intricately woven, leaving me hooked from beginning to end. Its nuanced characters and unexpected twists kept me engaged, making it a compelling read that lingered in my mind long after turning the final page.
As an avid reader, "The Timeless Player" left me thoroughly captivated. The narrative weaved a compelling tale of a protagonist who mysteriously reemerges after a ten-thousand-year absence, bringing a fascinating blend of ancient wisdom and futuristic technology. The plot's seamless fusion of history and the present created an engaging intellectual journey. The characters were well-developed, evoking a sense of empathy and intrigue. While the concept was intriguing, what stood out was the exploration of human connection and the timeless questions it raises. Overall, it was a captivating read that kept me on the edge of my seat, leaving me pondering long after the last page.
"Masterful weave of martial arts and character development, 'Complete Martial Arts Attributes' captivates with its intricate plot. The protagonist's journey from humble beginnings to a formidable warrior resonated deeply. Each chapter brims with electrifying fight scenes and profound philosophical insights, making it a thrilling read for martial arts enthusiasts. The well-rounded characters keep you invested, leaving you eager to turn the pages. A must-read for anyone seeking an exhilarating blend of action and self-discovery."
