Shameless Author review :As the author of Darklight Chronicles, I find myself in a unique position to reflect on this tale that has taken on a life of its own. Writing this story has been an exhilarating journey, blending elements of dark fantasy, character-driven narrative, and a sprinkle of humor to keep things engaging. From the outset, I aimed to craft characters that felt real and relatable, even amid fantastical circumstances. Kaelith, our main character, begins as a seemingly weak individual—a typical underdog trope—but his evolution into a cunning and powerful figure was a deliberate choice. Watching him grow, face his inner demons, and come to terms with his unique attribute, the Umbral Nexus, has been incredibly rewarding. I wanted readers to see that strength doesn’t always come from physical prowess; sometimes, it’s about resilience and strategy.Elowen, on the other hand, serves as a powerful contrast to Kaelith. With her pride and fierceness, she embodies strength and grace. Her greatsword isn't just a weapon; it symbolizes her unwavering resolve. Writing her character was a delight, as she often stole the show with her quick wit and assertive nature. The dynamic between Kaelith and Elowen has evolved into a fascinating exploration of trust, partnership, and the occasional comedic banter that keeps their relationship fresh and entertaining. The world of Darklight Chronicles has been a labor of love. I wanted to create a realm that felt alive, with ancient secrets hidden within dark forests and ominous vaults. The Vault of Echoes, for instance, was a pivotal setting that allowed me to explore themes of knowledge, power, and the consequences of seeking forbidden truths. I took great joy in crafting the lore and the laws that govern this universe, ensuring that each element contributed to the overarching narrative. But let’s not forget the humor. Injecting lighthearted moments amid darker themes was a conscious choice. It’s essential to balance the gravity of the situation with laughter, especially when your characters find themselves in dire predicaments. I wanted readers to feel the tension but also to chuckle at the ridiculousness of some scenarios—like Kaelith tripping over his own swords or Elowen’s playful yet fierce admonishments. In summary, Darklight Chronicles has been more than just a story for me; it’s been an exploration of character, theme, and the blending of light and dark. As I continue to navigate this fantastical world, I hope readers find joy, excitement, and perhaps a touch of introspection within these pages. Thank you for joining me on this journey—here’s to many more adventures to come!
I love this, I’m sad that it’s only just started. I want to binge tf out of this. There’s only one novel I use coins for, but I had to for this one too. I do not have privilege but I am caught up other than that. The main character is funny and definitely unique. There’s a bit of weird world building that feels unnecessary currently, but maybe it will become important later on. Also, I didn’t look at whether or not this had the harem tag, but my favorite girl is losing screen time :( She did so much for him. I’m excited at where the author plans on taking this. From what I can tell, based on the power curve it seems like it might cap out around 200 chapters of actual content, but the author may have different plans. I also expect at least 100 chapters of 18+ content, based on what has been put out so far. Looking forward to what else there is to come.
So far good and It's your first novel. I guess you're trying to maintain the hero mysterious that's why everywhere hero is always mentioned as 'he'. But i think i got the reason in chapter 10. About hindu god's inclusion I'm not sure and it's my first time reading a novel such as this. Guess I'll find out as the story progresses. Your world is also a little unique and also seems vast since it's a fantasy world with magic as mages levels are introduced, it also has monsters, god's and kingdoms as you mentioned. Keep going i feel this has great potential. Hope you update more frequently.
Loving ? the story especially about toys bringing me back to childhood
Another tree, that had no physical changes in appearance, was set alight the moment Ren Zexian caught sight of it some weeks later, the fire that was produced by his hands was blue-black and burned with a ferocity that the others had never seen before. The tree screamed beneath the intense flames, the heat could be seen pouring off the burning wood in waves. Ren Zexian did not explain about why the flames were strangely coloured and only said of his actions that the tree was extremely dangerous. They would not learn just how dangerous it might have been for a long time.
"I know, why?" Souta said.
