Nonsensical, monotonous and droll. Battles can range for 3 chapters to 300+. Certain scenes drag on relentlessly. Author often creates characters and abilities only to forget they exist as time goes by. MC’s whole schtick is that there is a stone in his head that allows him to do missions to earn points but the Mc literally never actually uses the points apart from once or twice so there’s no point even mentioning them now. There’s a stupid amount of power creep. The subtle realm is supposed to be the most powerful level in the world so apart from the sage emperor and the truly powerful there shouldn’t be very many people who reached that level. Mc even meets the heads of the martial arts organizations and they aren’t at that level yet somehow as soon as Mc reaches the subtle realm he manages to come across multiple people at that level. Even king qi managed to hire 3 subtle realm old people to be cannon fodder from nowhere apparently despite the fact that they are stronger than 95% of the world. I’m 1500 chapters in and I regret reading this. Gonna put it on the shelf for a while
This novel is a good read 6/10.My only complain is about MC's lovelife.This novel is good enough to read even without MC's pointless harem.
I am a big fan of the author first book '" the scar you gave me" and it has been great so far and I really liked how her mind works so I am pretty sure I will love this one So let's all read together and like it together
I recommend this book to everyone, if you are looking for a slow romance and a cold hearted mafia boss, you should read this. Good work author
One of my favorite stories on here. The party dynamic is fun, the characters themselves have their goofy moments but at the same time feel fully realized, and Jotou is wonderful as a protagonist. She’s flawed but can use those flaws as a strength, struggles with growth in an interesting and engaging way and it’s just wonderful how those struggles play off of the rest of the party. Plus, as a trans woman, her utter nonchalance at the genderbending tickles me.
The relationships between characters is probably my favorite part of the story. The characters rib eachother to express their care and play off of eachother while still getting serious if the situation calls for it.
Overall, wonderful, the story does an amazing job balancing serious and severe situations with comedic and playful ones without it seeming out of place or one overwhelming the other.
I’ll immediately eating up anything this author writes, and keep up the great work.
Awesome book i like it and the characters are interesting
As a good novel said earlier, I hope the author will release more chapters and I wonder when he will pass this training :) It's interesting to watch both the main character and the minor characters and watch the whole picture :)
considering that current score is 4.94 for this trash translation, i put 1 star review. novel is ok, but translation is terrible. wrong translations, unfinished sentences, double paragraphs and probably some more mistakes that i havent noticed. overall think that reading MTL may give better reading experience.
