SandKastle
Tonight was unlit by the moon in the sky, a night of fear and dark stories told to children. This village was deeply embedded in the kingdom and had never faced any threat other than dark nights and ignorant bandits. The king's word protected this village, a promise to defend this little town with an army so long as the forge was lit. This promise was embroidered on banners and stamped on leather armors, a unity that kept the entire world from attacking this corner of the king's land.
"You're telling me," Grane began, his voice a low growl, "that I couldn't hurt you even if I wanted to?"
"Thanks...goodnight..."
Namjoon shrugged. "Because you keep being stubborn."

I wanted to go to music school but I had no one to sponsor me. So I got in to the same field as my father to spite him, get better than him and eventually fire him myself.
"I think his still in his room" Madam Lee answered instead
"You dropped your ID card, kid." He explained drily whipping out a small Adventurers Card. Maria blushed brightly at her idiocy.
"I-I'll... fix my hair now!" Suyin stammered, her words tumbling over each other as she fled down the corridors, her disheveled appearance eliciting curious glances from the servants she passed.
I swallowed my saliva with her unexpected suggestion.
"…O-okay."
Homesickness tore through me, and I felt my throat closing up painfully.
