TheEarthMonarch
you should try global entrance university examination too. even though its a slow burn romance, its superb
The webtoon adapatation of it is really good and so I checked its LN right away after I saw the artist's note on this. It's manwha's title is The Lone Necromancer and so it took me quite long to realize that this is its own novel ? Though there is a difference on some plots between the novel and the manwha, I can say it has a pretty good story that fairly gives a proper setting for a character with a necromancer skill., even giving an in-depth and wider scope of possibilities and growth for a profession that is more likely limited only to necromancy.
I honestly would have loved this book if it wasn’t for the prince. I don’t like the fact that the prince has such an obsessive personality, he does whatever the hell he wants, starts saying sorry to the female lead with puppy dog eyes, and then she forgives him. I’m sorry but that’s a nasty attitude, it’s absolutely not endearing one bit
dropped at ch 83, it is okay but there's nothing eye-catching byee gl everyone reading this. the novel is not that bad
(Translation Disclaimer: I translated this from Machine Translation, so some details might be inaccurate. This is my personal interpretation based on the translation provided.)
I couldn't finish reading it, so I won't vote. Honestly, I tried, but the novel just wasn't palatable. I feel like if I continued, I'd end up angrier than witnessing Bai Weiwei's toxic behavior and Ye Dog's masochistic tendencies.
1. I can't tell if the main character (MC) is overly confident or incredibly foolish. When she decided to resurrect her older brother, it seemed unclear. Confidence is fine, but she comes across as impulsive. While she may possess skills, they don't seem adequate for every task. But seriously, remember you're mortal; challenging the heavens is reckless!
2. The main leads' selflessness is excessive. They don't consider the consequences for others. For instance, when the MC saved her brother, she faced backlash and cried about it, despite being in university. It was portrayed as a noble act, but I view it as selfish. Her grandfather warned her about the risks, but she ignored that. What did she expect?
3. The MC's grandfather even traveled to the underworld to check on her, and when he offered to save the male lead (ML), she complained and acted like a brat. Yes, she saved her grandfather, but it's frustrating how she lacks empathy and gratitude.
4. The ML, while not terrible, made a foolish decision by attempting to extract some ghost energy from the MC after her backlash. Even if he meant well, his lack of understanding is concerning. As someone rational and involved in government weapon creation, getting involved in such nonsense doesn't make sense.
5. I don't understand why people lose their minds in love. Self-sacrificing acts like these don't resonate with me. The MC's optimism and kindness are admirable, but her meddling and reliance on her body's unique abilities are annoying. It's like the author is emphasizing her importance to the ML, but it's not enough for me to enjoy her character.
6. I request a different MC. Someone level-headed, dedicated to learning ghost-catching skills before facing challenges. The focus on building a road instead of education or practical income streams frustrates me.
7. The plot is decent, with extensive research on feng shui, but the MC's character flaws dominate my reading experience. If the MC were more focused on learning and had a stronger bond with her family, I'd enjoy the story more.
8. It's confusing how she claims not to have studied feng shui seriously, yet performs better than professionals. The lack of family connection throughout the story is another issue. I understand her desire to save her brother, but her actions seem disconnected from her family dynamics.
9. Overall, I'm愤怒 and disappointed with the MC's character. The novel has potential, but the current protagonist doesn't work for me.
10. To sum up, a change in the MC would improve the story significantly. A more grounded and emotionally connected character would allow me to enjoy the plot and world-building better.
" 'Starting Out As A Goblin Summoner' is an enchanting read that captivates from the very first page. The protagonist's journey, a reluctant goblin summoner, is refreshingly relatable and brimming with witty humor. The intricate world-building leaves readers eager to delve deeper into the magical realms. The plot twists keep you on your toes, while the character growth is both inspiring and endearing. A delightful blend of fantasy and self-discovery, this novel is a must-read for any adventure lover."
