The author clearly plagiarized from the novel "Perfect Match," which not only undermines the integrity and respect I expect from literature but also fails to surpass or even match its original. My rating is solely based on the quality of the writing, and unfortunately, this work lacks substance beyond mere entertainment. While the inclusion of a beloved character pair from a different series was amusing, particularly how Yan Mingxiao's actions exemplified unconditional love for Qu Moyu, overall, the novel falls short.
"This is an entertaining novel that's definitely worth reading. It stands out from typical cultivation-themed works because the protagonist isn't overpowered (OP) and doesn't rely on clichéd harem dynamics. He's a thoughtful character who makes well-informed decisions."
I initially began by reading the translated chapters and eventually progressed to Machine Translation (MTL) versions. Among all the historical穿越小说, this one stands out as an incredibly enjoyable, relaxing read. It encompasses elements such as face-slapping, revenge, rags-to-riches stories, complex relationships, a satisfying happily-ever-after, continuous character development, and unexpected twists with villains. What I appreciate is the fresh approach to villainy, avoiding the cliché of a single, immortal antagonist and repetitive slapfights.
The plot is well-crafted, without resorting to contrived storylines just to prolong the narrative or create an endless climax. Even after reading 2,400 chapters, I still found myself wanting more. Surprisingly, the ending left me satisfied, without the usual frustration often associated with other novels. This is one of the longest novels I've read without losing interest mid-way and needing to switch to something else.
I wholeheartedly recommend giving this series a try!
The narrative primarily revolves around humor, slapstick, and an irrational, foolish female antagonist who either refuses to back down or derives pleasure from her own suffering. If you're seeking a heartwarming romance or a profound plot, this might not be your cup of tea. However, if you enjoy a lighthearted comedy that defies logic, with a touch of romance, then this could be a fitting choice for you. I must admit, I was let down by the progression of the romantic aspect – the protagonist wouldn't even consider marriage with the main love interest without the system's influence.
It's possible that some readers may find the story unengaging or the comedy repetitive. Personally, since the chapters are relatively short and haven't reached a point of unbearable quality yet, I've continued reading, holding out hope for a more satisfying love story between the main characters.
"Food Master of the Underworld" is an enthralling read that captivated my imagination. The narrative weaves a delectable blend of culinary mastery and supernatural intrigue, leaving me craving more with every turn of the page. The protagonist's transformation from an ordinary chef to a gastronomic sorcerer was both compelling and unexpected. The vivid descriptions of dishes and their magical properties had me savoring every word. A must-read for those who adore a flavorful fusion of fantasy and culinary adventure.
This intriguing novel, "The Villains Need to Save the World?", captivates with its fresh take on the traditional good-vs-evil narrative. The unexpected alliance between rogue characters adds depth and humor, making for a thrilling ride. The author deftly subverts stereotypes, leaving readers questioning their assumptions about morality. A roller-coaster plot keeps you hooked till the very end, while the unexpected twist leaves a lasting impression. A must-read for those who crave unconventional hero stories.
