Only I Am a Reader is a story about Leo Lock, a boy born with the ability to read books and obtain some of the skills mentioned in them. One day, he was suddenly transported into one of the books he read, and forced to survive until the ending. Overall, a really refreshing infinity-novel. I can't say too much so far, it's a lot slower than your typical infinity-novel, but that arguably makes it better. Hopefully it doesn't fall into the typical pitfalls.Writing quality is above-average, there are still some minor mistakes but everything is readable. (4/5 stars)Story development is pretty good. Both arcs in the first 300 chapters are pretty good, I'm hoping they focus more on the real world after the second arc though. Both stories seem realistic, even if both of them have rather cliché plots. Although it is interesting to see those "cliché plots" get fleshed out more than they normally would. (5/5 stars)The character design I have somewhat mixed feelings about. The characters are good, and most of them are rather 3d. For the most part, they feel like real people. However, due to the fact that the main character is going into novels, there is this ever-present barrier that the author puts around said characters that prevents them from being too fleshed out. Besides that, the main character still hasn't been properly fleshed out, there is a hint of romance at chapter 300, but it is extremely slow. (4/5 stars)World background is great. Obviously, some things are going to remain somewhat unrealistic considering it always has a third-party view on various protagonist's luck. Aside from that, these worlds are fleshed out and make sense, more-so than most infinity novels. (4/5 stars)Overall, novel is pretty great. Unfortunately there's some disconnect with the other worlds that prevent them from being super-great, but that comes along with the genre I suppose. Aside from that, everything is above-average. I give this novel 4.4 stars out of 5.

No cheats and it avoids a lot of the standard fair of overly stable foundations and joining sects. The one problem I'd say I have with the MC is that his character is kind of inconsistent. They talk about how mature he is for his age (due to this being his second life), but he doesn't exactly behave like someone who is almost 50 given both lifetimes. The clan leader is weird too. He is overprotective until the plot needs him to let the MC experience danger for reasons.There are a couple of weird translation choices as well. Using cauldron instead of furnace for refining artifacts for example and I think they used core foundation instead of the standard core formation. Overall it seems good outside of a few small translation and character quirks.
Surely this is one of my top 10 books. Sadly it was not published here in this platform. idk why people voted for those trash books rather than this gold. if I were to nitpick about something, then I would say the title is cringe and the book cover does not give justice to the plot and story. I even read the mtl for this because it's so good so if any of you knows how to make this book continue, then please support coz you won't be disappointed.

I'm not a good reviewer but all I have to say this novel in my eyes is just dull I feel like im forcing myself when I continue reading this so I stopped.there is no comedy which you would expect from an op mc story or exiting fights or hardships everything just goes to the MC. He doesn't need to even move a finger
The book does a good job of intriguing the reader (Not choosing to be the protag? Interesting) The world is solid, and is described rather well. The character interactions are fun and witty, making this a fun read.
an interesting Fl book without an annoying ml love candidate that wants to steal the show. at least until chap 100. the fl has a good background story and is learning fast how to fight and well the only thing that doesn't make really sense is that she can't already fight with her experience in games or it has a reason that I overlooked like that vr wasn't good enough back then or something like that...well it is one of the best Fl stories that I read until now that isn't romance and feelings focused.I really hope it doesn't get dropped or loses its focus on gaming and the meta story to a "everything is bad when I'm not with my ML ???" book.
