Like, right there in the middle of the warehouse scene when she's talking to her mom, and she's exhausted, injured, probably terrified, and her first instinct isn't to secure herself—it's to make sure her parents and sister aren't abandoned. This girl is carrying so much and pretending it's nothing. She comes back to the base covered in dirt, acting disappointed she didn't get supplies, while inside she's got a whole town saved and she's been playing the long con the entire time. And then she encounters Chen Xu's group—pregnant woman, kids, elderly people—and instead of shutting them out, she lets them stay. She risks her secret being discovered. That's not naive, that's a deliberate choice about who she wants to be. The dynamic between her and Miao Suisui is also fascinating. Miao Suisui is this system-wielding mayor who seems almost too perfect, and Su Qingqing is the grounded one who actually did the hard work of building something real. They complement each other in a way that feels earned. And Chen Xu—he's not just a generic protagonist. He siphoned fuel the night before, planned ahead, and when he offers Su Qingqing a ride out of the rat situation, he says it's "repayment for your kindness last night." He's keeping score in the best way, recognizing that survival is a team sport. The three children they rescued from Qinglong—they're traumatized, silent, confused. Liu Dong's daughter is somewhere out there, and he's searching for her through Chen Shi. These parallel searches for family are weaving through the whole narrative like a golden thread.
