Amazing book
The main character has a knack for getting under my skin. If not for their inferior thought processes, this novel wouldn't drag on with so many chapters. Despite his overwhelming power, he often hesitates when faced with conflict, taking unnecessarily long to deal with foes he could easily vanquish, even when his companions are in another peril. His constant refusal to accept gratitude from others for his actions is a recurring theme throughout the series. And then there's his belief that he's unsuitable for the girl he loves, while assuming everyone else feels the same way (even though it's one-sided). Ignoring his denseness as a protagonist, his charm with women and role in breaking relationships—typical for a harem tale—it's still frustrating to witness.
Cute. But the tags is indeed correct
I really hope this novel doesn't get left behind, almost two months now since the last update and the story feels like it's only 1/4 into it all!
Godzilla tried to read this sh*t and had a stroke.
I need to know... Do Blake get free of his curse? I don't care bout spoilers, go on
It is a good novel and highly underrated
i want to finish this but I also don't want to cause it hasn't been updated in 3 years... I'm worried I'll meet a disappointing cliff hanger when I get to the end
The translation by Miss Ruby is exceptional, as always. I am a regular listener and will continue tuning in until the series concludes. However, I must express my concern with the author. Several chapters felt unnecessary, disrupting the flow and lacking significance.
There was a particular spoiler that caught me off guard – almost forgetting about the main character's son. It felt odd and unsettling when his behavior didn't align with a child's, especially given his supposed connection to the emperor's powers. Is it implied that because of this, he's actually transcended but not truly, resulting in his adult-like speech? It's both creepy and frustrating.
Despite these drawbacks, I still enjoyed the overall experience. I believe it wouldn't be fair to rate lower due to occasional slow-paced chapters. Now that the story is complete, I can easily skim through those sections without the anticipation and annoyance of weekly updates featuring an unlikable narrator.
Thank you so much to the translators for your excellent work! This novel was a delightful read, particularly because the characters were intelligent and sophisticated. They avoided superficial schemes and possessed open-mindedness, relying on trust and logic to navigate situations, which made them adaptable and sometimes challenged traditional values.
One unique aspect was the surprising development where the siblings ended up marrying each other, despite being unrelated by blood in ancient times. This unconventional decision, endorsed by a dying emperor, showcased the dynasty's progressive stance. The fact that the main character (MC) was favored over the real blood sibling (the antagonist) highlighted the importance of family bonds, as blood ties were highly valued back then, making the MC's reception relatively warm even before their encounter.
What set this novel apart from others with clichéd misunderstandings was its focus on heartfelt family love and trust. The deep bond between the siblings, particularly their intense affection, was captivating. My only critique would be that while the author tantalizingly hinted at intimate scenes between the pair, there was no explicit content throughout the story. Although the genre might not be labeled as smut, the sexual tension was substantial, leaving readers wanting more.
"Game Tester in the Apocalypse" captivates with its unique blend of post-apocalyptic intrigue and relatable protagonist. The narrative weaves an immersive world, where the protagonist's love for gaming becomes a survival skill. The author's knack for blending action with humor amidst chaos is commendable, making it a thrilling read that keeps you hooked till the end. The exploration of human resilience and the power of technology in extreme circumstances adds depth to the story. A must-read for any gamer and adventure seeker who appreciates a thought-provoking twist on familiar themes.
"The 'Card Master of the Multiverse (old)' is an enthralling read that takes me on a captivating journey through dimensions. The protagonist's wit and card-slinging prowess are nothing short of mesmerizing, as they navigate the complexities of the multiverse with sheer audacity. The plot twists keep me on the edge of my seat, and I found myself deeply invested in the characters' evolution. A must-read for any fan of mind-bending adventures and well-crafted narratives."
