The books doesn’t have one set writing style and is rather choppy in terms of flow. The word choice and storyline is poor, and the characters lack personality. Even if someone were to be strong and opinionated, there should be a bit of common sense. If the emperor was being abused, that would’ve been an instant death or sentence, imperial concubines have more status than commoners, she hadn’t officially taken the position as imperial nanny but acted as if she was all that…??? She barged into the throne room but there was no announcement from the eunuch. The world background is confusing because the book is set in imperial times with concubines and the likes, yet has traces of modern influences such as; busses, women getting ”diplomas”, and modernized wording. There is no build up for each character, no story, and no personality. you know a book is good if you get lost in the world created by the author, I feel like I haven’t been able to step into the world and immerse myself.
This is a new story in the World's Apocalypse Online universe. if you've read WAO, you will know that the ultimate scams and secret arts and clever hijinks are in store, and Purgatory Artist absolutely delivers! The translation quality is great, the characters are fun to read, and it feels just like the WAO universe. While the story wanders around a little and can be a little hard to follow at the beginning, just stick with it, once the plot picks up it gets really good and I enjoyed reading every chapter. tyvm for translation!

Thought the book was great, though definitely need to break up longer paragraphs.Don’t know if it applies to you but, at least for me writing shorter helps you read through it on the phone.Anyways, I added the book to my collection. I like your story author.However, since his father's death you are showing how Ren is creating boundaries and "using" his friends, watching everything with indifference. I understand that after a close person's death people needs time to heal and all. But the idea of not having bonds because they are weakness and using everyone, always seeing things with indifference is soon going to be the same as literally 99% other fanfics where authors think that is somehow the best option. Without bonds soon the character will feel mechanical and like no emotional intelligence. It also wouldn't create hooks, tension while particularly tricky situations unfold. Forgive me if i seemed like ranting, but a lot of authors make their character cold, indifferent, dark, etc etc. and not always it makes sense. Especially here he felt love with his parents, had friends. Instead of weakness it could be shown as powerful motivation to not loose them and improve more. The other characters could also have significant growth, and together with Ren, could dunno have more impact than just some one man show. Just my opinion that can make the story more engaging and real. Nobody will become Madara level powerful by the time they are in early teens. You said so that realistic growth will be there. Rivalry, and helping each other grow is sorta more feasible than one dude becoming a mechanical machine and training non stop and using everyone to bis advantage for years until he feels ready to face the world, which can take decade and still me me tally sane. I jst wanted to convey my thoughts, as i wouldn't have bothered writing so much if i hadn't been hooked. The chapters of bonding and the subsequent couple chapter where Toshiro died and the funeral and all, how he said his mother doesn't need to be strong all the time, how his mother and father met, all these were really nice, i actually felt the emotions. In anycase, good luck with your story.
I have already downloaded the book, I am not a romance lover, but this story is among those who usually gets my attention I hope it keeps updating so I can know the end... but I strangely feel that... a tragedy is on his way?.
