Before Joining:
“President Lan, believe me, I can bring more than just a new employee to the company. I will excel in my role and prove my value to you!” Xu Le’s eyes shone with determination.
Lan Qing raised his eyes, his tone indifferent, “You’re hired. I need to see your value.”
Three Months into the Job:
“Thank you, President Lan. You can let go now…”
Xu Le carefully held a sample that was worth his monthly salary and steadied himself.
Lan Qing calmly withdrew his hand, “Be more careful next time.”
Feeling the warmth and flexibility of Xu Le’s narrow waist linger on his fingertips, Lan Qing thought, maybe it’s time to consider making this little intern permanent.
One Year into the Job:

Lan Qing, however, pinched his flushed cheek, teasingly saying, “No one can hear us here. Be good, call me hubby.”
