The house in Cantor's woods had always been there, under a tangle of leaves and vines, under a tangle of mysteries and half-truths. Ally Donnelly, senior at Wasehlo High, gets inside before it's torn down. But some secrets are better left untouched. Some doors are best left shut.

Usually I kind of like these types of novels where the MC enter a retreat for centuries and come out op.But that is when the structure of the novel is done well, the grammar is without mistakes and that the system is also understandable.Unfortunately here everything is a mess. The cultivation levels are all over the place and you can't understand at which level the MC is at, the system is sometimes on and sometimes off, the grammar is in dire need of editing fast.So to sum it all up, not recommend!

Enjoying a different take on the beginning of the typical cultivation novel, with characters that aren't just caricatures of the standard tropes. We finally get an mc that seems like a real person, not everyone is instantly out to kill him, god the scene where there was good parenting made me literally cheer out loud. Anyway its refreshing and i hope it stays stable

The mc is not a coward like some people are saying. I've read further on the mtl and the mc has a heroic side of himself. It's just that it is suppressed for some reason. Plus as the story progresses the mc's character grows making him a dynamic character. It would be boring to have a static mc in this type of novel. For further info on what i think about this novel, read my earlier review

I think this is a very powerful story line. I'm blown by the detail of what seems to be her experience transitioning it's almost like I was there with her. Great work. Would love to see more. <3
