Kind of "classical" short stories greatly inspired by A. Azimov's "Caves of Steel".
The colony of Espero lost contact with Earth almost 300 years ago. The unified colonial government collapsed, leaving behind a number of autonomous Cities half-gone underground and surrounded by giant domes. It's cold and relatively deserted, with the simplest things missing and everything constantly breaking down, but even in such harsh conditions there is a place for a thirst for power and the pursuit to overtake one of the greatest human fears.
